Parenting Coordination

Parenting coordinators are appointed by the Court in cases where the parents are having difficulty implementing the parenting plan and the case meets the criteria for a parenting coordinator under NCGS § 50‑91.

Once appointed by the Court, I help parents to implement their custody order so that children are insulated from conflict and decisions related to the child are made in a timely fashion. I am trained to screen cases for domestic violence and coercive control and to adapt my procedures as needed so both parties feel safe throughout the parenting coordination process.

The Court usually orders parents to split the fees of the parenting coordinator.
